Nutrition Services

Michelle McKeon is a Certified Clinical Nutritionist at her Private Practice, Balancing Pathways.  For people that need additional assistance with a pre- and post-hyperthermia treatment, Michelle offers further support through Balancing Pathways. This Practice allows her to work with clients and take a deeper dive into various recovery factors when dealing with illness. Michelle looks for these answers through exploring mold mycotoxins, genetic/methylation issues, heavy metals, tick-borne infections, cell membrane damage, parasites and viral infections, dental issues, diet, candida, and gut flora. She can take a more thorough look into your lab results, diet, current supplements and medication, and unique health conditions to help further guide you in your healing journey.

If you receive hyperthermia treatment it is important to make sure you have the most sustainable results.  Hyperthermia does an amazing job at killing a vast number of pathogens.  However, when pathogens die, they expel toxins, if toxins stay in your body they can add to your symptoms.  It is important to get these toxins out so that your inflammation goes down and you can see symptom relief.

Not only does this include getting these toxins from the dead pathogens out, but you also need to look into possible issues with methylation pathways, mold mycotoxins, and heavy metal issues.

LISTEN TO YOUR BODY. Detoxification can take months. Be persistent and be patient.  Your body has been in chronic crisis, and it is important to take the time to do things in the appropriate stages.

From my personal recovery and the clients that I have worked with, I am consistently seeing that the devil is in the detail. After hyperthermia, upon returning home, many times people continue to try to immediately kill the pathogens that remain.  Let’s seriously think about this.  Your body just went through a major ordeal with two extreme whole-body hyperthermia treatments and is now dealing with a die-off reaction from all these pathogens being killed.

Initially before receiving treatment and after coming home from treatment my focus is on detoxing and healing the gut and candida issues.  Once the body is stronger, I work with antimicrobial herbals to help kill whatever pathogens are left after hyperthermia treatment.  Chronic conditions, specifically tick-borne infections can be very complex, and I assist in connecting the dots so that if you receive hyperthermia treatment you experiance the most optimal results.
